I’ve realized the word “influencer” is now synonymous with all sorts of “look at me”, kind of content. Just taking a selfie in front of a wall doesn’t mean you influence anyone. I’m not sure I can think of any word that has less meaning now than “influencer”.
I’ve figured out a few alternatives you can use anytime you find yourself speaking, writing, or using the word “influencer”. Some of these influencer synonyms are worse because they are jokes. Some are better because they speak more to what you actually do.
